The first meeting is on Wednesday 16th September at 4pm in the Students Union Office at the back of Wakefield campus refectory. Please come along if you are interested.

If you miss this date, you can still undertake the award by:

emailing dofe@wakefield.ac.uk or visiting Jo Talbot-Paterson in the Students' Union office at the back of Wakefield Campus refectory.

This award is available to all students at Wakefield College aged between 14-24.

We are offering Bronze, Silver and Gold as the college will become a fully licensed centre.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s award is recognised internationally and therefore looks great on UCAS and job application’s/CV’s but more importantly helps them to develop new talents for life including self-belief, self-confidence, being responsible,  planning, communication, social, team building and problem solving skills.

There are four sections to a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award:

Volunteering

Physical

Skills

Expedition

Note  - at Gold there is an additional fifth residential section
