Launched in June 2014, British Muslim TV is a dynamic channel, committed to creating engaging, relevant and fully-representative content to move and inspire British Muslims. Broadcasting 24 hours a day, and available to watch free on Sky channel 845, Freeview 244 and stream online, British Muslim TV is an exclusive destination for high-quality programming that is focussed on the British Muslim community.

 If you’re interested in working in television, we want to hear from you. Media – in all its formats – is an exciting, fast-paced industry, which requires you to think on your feet and be meticulously organised.

 We’re looking for four dedicated, hard-working, passionate and creative individuals to join us on a 6-week work experience placement as Production Runners, working in our studios in Wakefield for two days a week.

 What you’ll be doing at British Muslim TV

Here are British Muslim TV, we want to give you the full experience of what it’s like to work in the media industry – not just make coffee! So you can expect to learn how to:

- Manage and create sets

- Studio control live and pre-recorded shows

- Book guests

- Book locations for shoots

- Book camera operators, studios and equipment

- Create and pitch new concepts for shows

- Maintain health and safety regulations when on location and shooting in the studio

- Set up a studio shoot (sets, lights, cameras, mics etc.)…

…and much more. If you’re looking to join us as a Production Runner, be prepared to bring your A-Game, a can-do attitude and bags of enthusiasm and energy.
