A reminder to students as we approach the weekend that if you have any clothes for our recycling campaign please bring in and donate in the red bins near receptions before 30th March.   By bringing your clothes for reuse and recycling you are helping raising money for young lives and supporting our sustainability mission.  Thanks to everyone who has donated so far.

Cash for Kids is working with Textile Recycling International to encourage textile recycling. We’re looking to recycle textiles and clothing that might have ended up going into landfill, and by sending more to be recycled we can help protect our environment. In addition, for every tonne collected Cash for Kids will receive £400 to help us continue our support for disadvantaged children. Around 1.75 million tonnes of clothing waste is produced in the UK every year, and about 1.2 million tonnes of this is sent unnecessarily to landfill. You can help us get these numbers moving in the right direction! If we can stop this waste, we’ll directly help the environment and provide good quality clothing to some of the poorest developing nations in the world as well as supporting disadvantaged children here in the UK. Plus it’s completely FREE to you!
