NOTICE OF ELECTIONS

Wakefield College Students’ Union hereby gives notice of election for the following positions, which shall be taking place in the month of May 2016

 • President

• Vice President •

Vice President (Castleford)

• Education Officer

• Student Activities Officer

• Welfare Officer

• Mature Students’ Officer

• LGBTQ Officer & Gender Officer

• Communications Officer

• Ethnic and Religious Minority Officer

• Disabilities Officer

• Higher Education Officer

Nominations open: Monday 2nd May

Nominations close: Friday 13th May 12 Noon

Manifesto’s displayed: Tuesday 17th May

Voting opens: Monday 23rd May

Voting closes: Friday 27th May

Results announced: Tuesday 7th June

Nomination forms will be available from campus receptions, Activity Leaders or from the Students’ Union Office from Monday 2nd May until Friday 13th May. To nominate yourself you will need: your name, your student ID, a contact number and names of those proposing and seconding you. You will then be contacted about the election rules and completing a manifesto.

To stand for election you must currently be a student of Wakefield College and be intending to be a student of Wakefield College in the coming academic year. Your nomination must be proposed and seconded by students of the College.
