Brief overview of the role

To operate MIG welding machine and carryout work on structural steel items efficiently and effectively resulting in high quality products being produced, ensuring all customer requirements are met within tolerance and timely fashion. 

Duties to include:

  • To accept the job instructions, complete with all relevant production paperwork and work to the instruction specifications
  • To set and operate MIG welding machine
  • Able to jig and fixture own workpieces
  • To check all product components are correct before and during the operation
  • To carry out Quality Control checks (inspection) and ensure the products are correct throughout the run
  • Always adhere to company processes and procedures
  • Be aware of and always follow all HS procedures

Company based in Huddersfield HD8, ideally looking for a second year student who has some college experience.
