Year of Culture 2024 – be part of it!

You're invited to a special event in Wakefield district this April. Wakefield Council and partners are working to create a year celebrating everything that our towns, villages and city have to offer, in a Year of Culture and creativity.  2024 is going to celebrate and support heritage, creativity, activity and innovation, and help everyone discover something new right on their doorstep as well as further afield.

Wakefield Council is developing the year of culture content with the people across the area, through a series of gatherings in which people of every walk of life share their thoughts and ideas to make sure the year of culture is great for them. We want YOU to be part of shaping your Year of Culture 2024!

We would love you to come along and help us build the year with your thoughts, ideas and perspectives.

The gatherings will take place at:

Monday 4th April – South Elmsall Library – 6pm-8pm

Tuesday 5th April – Wakefield College – 6pm-8pm

Wednesday 6th April – Pontefract Town Hall – 6pm-8pm

Thursday 7th April – Ossett Town Hall – 6pm-8pm
