Please note the disruption to travel due to the Arriva Bus Strike which may affect your arrangements for Maths/English Exams, Tuesday 7th and Friday 10th June this week.

You must make every attempt to attend your exam which starts at 9.30am and if you can make personal arrangements for lifts or walking into College this will be a better position.  Expect there to be more traffic on the roads and for taxis to be very limited.

The following buses public services are operating tomorrow -

First Bus

Ossett, Horbury and Wakefield No 268, 126,127. Beginning at 07.07 every 15 minutes.

Station Coaches

Ossett to Wakefield, 116 every 20 minutes.

Ross Travel

Pontefract, Featherstone, Castleford, Wakefield. No 146 leaving at 07:25

Wakefield, Altofts, Castleford bus station, Castleford College No 146 leaving at 07:50 and 09:05

Normanton is the area not covered. We have arranged for Company Coaches to collect at 8:00am from Normanton Jubilee Swimming Pool, Market Street, Normanton WF6 2AR to arrive at Castleford Campus and take students on to the exam at Lock Lane.  There is also a coach to leave Normanton Jubilee Swimming Pool at 8:00am to travel to Wakefield City Campus.  Please make sure you get on the correct coach if you use this service, your student ID will be required.  Please arrive before 8:00am and only use this service as a necessity as places are very limited.

To reiterate – where possible make your own way to College in plenty of time for your exam.

Students who are on bursary payments can reclaim reasonable taxi fees where necessary.
