Once again, the Sport and Public Services department is running an optional* winter sports trip, and a provisional booking has been made for the Salzburger Sportwelt area, Austria,

This year we are booked to FLY rather than coach.

The provisional cost for the residential is £1099 per person, and includes flights, transport in Austria, accommodation, breakfast and evening meals in the hotel, comprehensive insurance, equipment hire, skiing lessons, lift pass, and evening entertainment/activities.

Places are strictly limited to 40 and will be given on a first come, first served basis.

In order to secure your place on the residential you need to pay an initial deposit of £100 at the Finance Office (Starbuck’s building, floor 2, turn right) – just ask to pay for the Austria visit.

The payment code is 30009.

You can then continue to pay additional amounts and spread the cost throughout the rest of the year, with a total deposit of £500 needed by 2nd October. This is due to the higher deposit needed by the airline.

If you change your mind, or leave the college, all deposit payments will be fully refundable, through to 2nd October, when the booking will be confirmed.

Please contact Nick Young at n.young@wakefield.ac.uk or via Teams if you would like information on paying by bank transfer/over the phone, or for any further information

The balance should be paid by Friday 1st December.

*For students who will be studying on the L3 Yr2 courses, this visit forms an integral, assessed element of your programme and as such you may be able to access financial support from the college, for this visit.

You will need to re-apply for bursary when you re-enrol in August.
