Are you interested in doing your Bronze or Silver Duke of Edinburgh award at college? It looks great on UCAS and job applications.

This award is open to all students aged 14-24 across all our sites Wakefield, Castleford and Selby.

It covers all your Navigate hours which are a compulsory part of your course. There are a number of ways that you can find out more information or simply join straight away to start the award from this week.

Come along to a face to face information session at Wakefield Campus 12.15 - 13.15 WB001 Weds 4th Oct

Join an online MS Teams information session Friday 6th October 13.30 - 14.30 via this link below. Please click it to be added to the group before the meeting so I can join when the meeting starts. If you do not click this to be added beforehand you will not be able to access the meeting.

Speak to/email Jo Talbot-Paterson at Wakefield campus or Rebecca Bellwood-Walker at Castleford Campus in Student Central.

Request for one of us to come to your class to do a talk about the award!

If you cannot make this time please visit us in Student Central.

The Duke of Edinburgh has 4 sections to complete Volunteering, Skills, Physical and Expedition and we can now use part of your course to put towards these sections. You can find out more about the DofE at this link DofE - The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The award covers all Navigate hours at the college and encourages you to try new things and make friends.  The cost of the award is £25 but funding is available for some students on financial support.

If you have any questions please email activities@heartofyorkshire.ac.uk or visit us in Student Central.
