Your safety is important to us and we need to raise awareness of safety concerns relating to THC in vapes.

We are aware of an increase with young people accessing e-cigarettes laced with high doses of synthetic drugs (THC) which have serious effects on their mental and physical capacity. These incidents lead to emergency services involvement and gaining additional treatment in hospital. Also in some cases they contain Spice which which is also dangerous.

If you use e-cigarettes, please avoid at all costs the use of one of these devices from another person, especially if you do not know this person well.  Do not accept vapes from anyone else when you do not know what they contain.

If you have any further information regarding the possession of such devices, please speak to a member of staff. At the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, we have a zero tolerance towards illegal drug use and the supply of illegal drugs.
