Carpark Cricket are looking for any students for the below advert. This is  a great opportunity and would provide individuals with some valuable experience. You do not have to be interested in Cricket specifically so please do not let that put you off.

Anyone with an interest in Sport, Marketing, Events or Business or all three would be perfect for the role. The deadline is the 29th April but if the positions have not been filled they will extend this so please contact if you have anyone interested.

It’s in the half term – you do not have to commit to everyday. Chris (email below) can answer any more questions in detail.

They would also like someone for their pilot day next Sat 2nd May at the Trinity Walk.

The advert is also on the WYSport website here: http://wysport.sportsuite.co.uk/jobs/1457

This is a unique opportunity for anyone who is looking for career in Sports Management and/or Event Management.

As part of Carpark Cricket’s Sport England-funded 2015 programme, we are looking to recruit 3 to 4 volunteers (aged 16-25) to assist in managing our upcoming week of events at White Rose Centre, Leeds, and Trinity Walk, Wakefield.

The role provides candidates with the chance to gain practical experience of a high profile sports event, including working with a British Olympic medallist and the opportunity for CV enhancement, in particular:

(i)                 assisting the Project Coordinator at the event with: setting up the Carpark Cricket session; encouraging shoppers to participate in the programme; and collecting data from participants

(ii)               (ii) an all-expenses paid training day with one of London’s top sports management company's (the Sports Sphere), where you will learn how to manage professional sports stars and how to organise, promote and run a successful sports event.

Candidates must be confident, enthusiastic and able to interact with members of the public. No prior sports experience is necessary, although an interest in sports and/or event management is preferable.
