Are you interested in doing the Duke of Edinburgh’s award at Wakefield College?

If so, please email dofe@wakefield.ac.uk or visit Jo Talbot-Paterson in Student Services Harrison Building at Wakefield Campus .

From September 2015 this award will be available to all students at Wakefield College aged between14-24.

We are offering Bronze, Silver and Gold as the college will become a fully licensed centre.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s award is recognised internationally and therefore looks great on UCAS and job application’s/CV’s but more importantly helps you to develop new talents for life including self-belief, self-confidence, being responsible,  planning, communication, social, team building and problem solving skills.

There are four sections to a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award:

Volunteering, Physical, Skills, Expedition

Note  - at Gold there is an additional fifth residential section
