Over the last 10 years the College has reduced it's carbon emissions by nearly 50%
The College has worked hard to reduce it's carbon emissions and the reduction achieved has been by various projects:
- Refurbishment of the Harrison Building
- Reviewing operational hours and updating the Building Management System (BMS)
- installation of LED lighting
- Solar panels installation at Castleford
- Fenestration and cladding of Radcliffe building
- Localised water heaters in Radcliffe
- promotion of Green Travel
- procurement of energy efficient pool cars
- plus many more!
To help maintain this reduction we need to ensure we turn off items that are not in use, especially heaters, fans and lights.
We can make a difference!
