Over the last 10 years the College has reduced it's carbon emissions by nearly 50%

The College has worked hard to reduce it's carbon emissions and the reduction achieved has been by various projects:

  • Refurbishment of the Harrison Building
  • Reviewing operational hours and updating the Building Management System (BMS)
  • installation of LED lighting
  • Solar panels installation at Castleford
  • Fenestration and cladding of Radcliffe building
  • Localised water heaters in Radcliffe
  • promotion of Green Travel
  • procurement of energy efficient pool cars
  • plus many more!

To help maintain this reduction we need to ensure we turn off items that are not in use, especially heaters, fans and lights.

We can make a difference!
